What is a Missional Community?

A missional community is a family of missionary servants sent on mission by God to make disciples who make disciples.

Our vision is to see missional communities planted all over our city and the greater Greenville area. People living ordinary life together for the glory of God and seeking to reach their friends and neighbors with the good news of the gospel.

What do we mean by the term Missional? – Missional living means to do the work of a missionary. For us, it means to pattern our lives for the mission of making disciples. We believe the gospel has application for every aspect of life, and missional living is to bring the gospel to bare with those we share life with. We believe the gospel is essential for both Christians and non-Christians. Non-Christians need the gospel to know Jesus and Christians need the gospel spoken in to our lives to help shape how we live, move and have our being. The primary goal of missional living is to see life change through the power of the gospel.

Missional communities exist for the purpose of making and maturing disciples. The Haven Ridge missional communities, along with the ministry teams, represents both the outreach and the in-reach ministries of the church. Each missional community gathers weekly for the purpose of discussing the scriptures, building community and reaching others with the gospel. Living sent is the mandate of every believer and the missional communities provide an organic method for building community and developing disciples of Christ.
